Cleaning is often an unpleasant (but necessary) part of moving. When you move into a new home, you want to make sure it’s clean before you unpack your belongings; When you are moving out, ensuring the home is left clean is usually a condition of your lease or purchase agreement.

Kahuna Cleaning Inc. offers professional move-in/move-out cleaning services. We can handle anything from a few last-minute tasks to a thorough top-to-bottom clean. We are a small company and most people move at month-end, so our availability is limited and early booking is strongly recommended.

OUR RATES

Our hourly rate for regular cleaning is $50.00 per hour per cleaner. Bookings for our move-in/move-out cleaning services require a minimum of two cleaners for two hours, so the minimum charge for a move-in/move-out clean is $200.00 plus GST. We supply all required cleaning products and equipment at no additional charge. We require a deposit of $200.00 plus GST to confirm your booking. 

DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS
We require a deposit of $200.00 plus GST to confirm your appointment. This deposit can be paid via e-transfer.
  • For cancellations with over 48-hours notice, this deposit is fully refundable (less e-transfer charges).
  • For cancellations with less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours notice, this deposit is 50% refundable.
  • For cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, this deposit is non-refundable.​

HOW MANY HOURS SHOULD YOU BOOK US FOR?

Hours required to complete a move-in/move-out clean varies greatly from home-to-home. Factors to consider are the home’s size, current condition, and your expectations. A good way to estimate the amount of time it will take is to consider how many hours it would take you to (properly) do it yourself. 
For a thorough top-to-bottom clean, the following (average) times are recommended:​
1 Bedroom/1 Bathroom
2 Cleaners for 3-4 Hours
2 Bedrooms/2 Bathrooms
2 Cleaners for 5-6 Hours
3 Bedrooms/3 Bathrooms
2 Cleaners for 7-8 Hours
4+ Bedrooms/4+ Bathrooms
3 Cleaners for 6+ Hours
These hours are for regular cleaning services. Carpet cleaning, window cleaning, and junk removal services are separate and additional.

DO I NEED TO BE THERE WHILE YOU CLEAN?

No, you do not. In fact, we work much more efficiently when we are free from interruption. Also, in light of the current COVID-19 situation, we will not work in spaces where we are unable to maintain a 10’ distance from other people.

​You are welcome to meet us at the home at the start of the appointment to provide us access and discuss your cleaning priorities, but we ask that you then vacate the premises so we can get to work. Alternatively, you can leave a key for us or provide us with a key code in advance for zero-contact service.
